To arrive in Pozo Azul you only need take a 5 minutes taxi.
Pescaderito provides a familiar place that is nice for walks and picnics. You will likely find Colombians having ¨Paseo de Olla,¨ or a traditional Colombian picnic. There are also many natural springs to enjoy. To go to Pescaderito you only need to take a bus going to Curiti from the San Gil bus station, Ask about the perscaderito to the driver and he will stop in the closer stop to go pescaderito. From there you can walk for 40 minutes or take a moto taxi in the road that can bring you to the pescaderito.
BARICHARA & GUANE
If you want to visit somewhere near San Gil we recommend going to Barichara, officially the most beautiful town in Colombia due the beautiful colonial architecture and cobblestone streets. From there you can do an ecological walk through the “Camino Real” until arriving at the Guane town where you will find the Guane museum which preserves artifacts of this indigenous tribe and the Guane mummy that was found in a nearby cave. You can do this walk alone or with a guide.
To go to Barichara you can take a bus from the bus station, the departures are every half an hour. The last bus to return from San Gil to Barichara is at 6:30 p.m. If you decide you want to stay in Barichara for the night, check out Tinto Hostel!
